Brother’s Keeper discriminates

The president favors a segment of American youth. He has launched the Brother’s Keeper program. “In strong, often personal terms President Barack Obama on Thursday called for vigorous efforts to reverse underachievement among young black and Hispanic males (The Spokesman-Review, Feb. 28).” The president has also created another governmental task force so that community groups and businesses will have best practices to follow.

To merit help and attention from this president and his administration, your skin color matters. If not the approved skin color, you are excluded entry into this new program to promote the “start of a different cycle.”

To non-discriminatory citizens we are all one color: Americans. All our youth are important to us, not just the president’s favored segments.
