Support EV bus levy

On April 28, the citizens of East Valley School District will be voting on a two-year transportation levy. This levy will replace the district’s aging fleet of buses and allow the district to align itself within a depreciation time cycle that will maximize state funds for years to come.

Newer, safer and more economical buses are estimated to save the district $96,000 per year in fuel costs and $116,000 in reduced maintenance expenditures. Our buses transport 2,210 students over 3,200 miles every day. This levy will not only provide increased safety for our children’s daily travels, but also improve the efficiency of our district’s day-to-day operations.

As a 12-year educator in the district with family members attending our schools, I urge you to support our students by voting yes for the East Valley Transportation Levy.
