End of oil, coal trains

Warren Buffet, owner of the BNSF Railway, believed that he would be able to ship coal and oil safely. He said “I think I can, I think I can!” The people who live on the land where the railroad runs said, “I think he can’t, I think he can’t!”

The oil and coal producers are cheering on Buffet, and smiling and laughing at the pipeline owners. We don’t need no stinking pipelines.

But the people who live where the trains run banded together. They complained about the quality of the transportation that was risky and dirty, and ran too often for the peace and quiet and health of the community.

And then a miracle happened. Demand for coal and oil cratered. The price of the products contracted and the people cheered. The big plans for facilities to ship all those nasty products looked like they would fade away and the people were happy. They told Buffett that he needed to concentrate on shipping food and other good things.

The coal and oil producers hung their heads, but a new day dawned as a bright sun came up in the morning. The end, we hope.
