Hadian presenting facts

Enough! First you publish an op-ed, “Context needed in Sharia case” (May 3), that is replete with tendentious prevarications masqueraded as facts embellishing Islam but disparaging Christianity. Now you publish another biased article, “Ex-Muslim pastor stokes fear, controversy” (May 19), that distorts the truth.

It states, “If alarm and fear are the reactions Hadian strives to produce in his audiences, the Spokane-area Christian pastor is having some success.” This pejorative supposition reflects an utter failure in editorial supervision.

I have attended two presentations about Islam given by Hadian. Based on my own research of Islamic theology and history, including its foundational texts, he presents documented facts. His intent is simply that: Present the truth. If that causes fear, then it’s a rational fear, not “Islamophobia.” A phobia is an irrational fear, not based on facts and logic.

Fact: Quran verse 33:21 is the basis for the Islamic doctrine that Muhammad was “the perfect man.” That’s why Muhammad’s words and actions recorded in the Hadith and Sira are also foundational texts, and Muhammad’s life represents an Islamic categorical imperative. The Sira of Ibn Ishaq is Muhammad’s authenticated biography. Read it for the truth about Islam, and ISIS.
