Clinton criticism unmerited

I almost laughed out loud after reading Jim Barbieri’s June 5 letter to the editor. I hesitate to ever comment on another reader’s views, as I strongly believe in the right to make preposterous comments. However, Barbieri is so off base that I had to write.

I would ask how any of the far-right Republican announced candidates, and the non-announced candidates, would offer anything close to the skill and experience of Hillary Clinton. Clinton not only served as first lady for eight years, but also was an incredibly skilled secretary of state and a respected senator from New York.

Clinton is a wonderful candidate. I can’t wait for the debates to show her capabilities against any of the Republicans. The criticism of her is unwarranted. She will make a wonderful president.
