Biel brings common sense

Having known LaVerne Biel for many years, I am delighted to encourage my fellow citizens to support her for Spokane City Council. LaVerne has served as a board member of East Central Community Center, a valuable organization that serves individuals and families who reside in the East Central neighborhood.

In addition, she and her husband, Kent, invested funds to refurbish a building along East Sprague Ave., and have provided employment for a number of people through their business. They took the risk of investing in the East Central business district and their efforts have helped revitalize that area of our city.

LaVerne will bring common sense to the deliberation of the issues confronting our city council, and she will carefully consider all sides of an issue before making a judgment. We need more people like her in public service. I hope you will join me in voting for LaVerne Biel for city council.
