Tribe should build where it wants

I would like to address the letters I had read in past editions concerning the Spokane Tribe and their “quest” to open a tribal casino.

I feel the politics being used against them is bad enough, but we have those who suggest that the Spokane Tribe build their casino in Montana? Do people in this area know where this city got its name? The Kalispel Tribe, while very fortunate, are the ones are based out of Montana. I feel that the Spokane Tribe should be able to build its casino where it sees fit.

I am an enrolled member of the Nez Perce Tribe and would find it incredible that an outside tribe would attempt to construct a casino in our area. I pray that the Spokane people will succeed.
