Get a grip post-election

This is nuts. I have family to the left of me and friends to the right. Trying to be a reasonable voice in a world that seems to have lost its mind, while being a worthy ideal, typically results in ridicule at best and threats at worst. The fears expressed by Frank Luntz on “60 Minutes” the Sunday before the election seem to have come true.

I was somewhat concerned what could happen with Trump supporters after Hillary was elected, but I was completely blindsided by the demonstrations, destruction and fires, not to mention threats of assassination, that erupted from hers. Luntz commented about the thread of humanity that was on the razor’s edge, and if it were cut, the results would be “horrific.”

Have we come to that Yoda moment? “Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate … to suffering.” I pray not, but it’s going to take some strong leadership.

I would immediately like to see a State of The Union address with all three, President Obama, President-elect Trump and Hillary Clinton, speaking to all the people, on all channels, telling them to get a grip.
