Men, stand up

Hooray for the “Me Too” movement! It is time for men to also stand up and call out their friends and co-workers and, yes, relatives who show their disrespect for women by sexually harassing them. That we have elected an admitted sexual predator to the presidency is a sign that this attitude toward women permeates our culture. This is a man says he can grab a woman’s crotch because he is rich and famous. This is a man who can use a sexist slur against a woman because she is the mother of a person who is peacefully protesting.

I am calling on all men to stand up and confront any sexual harasser and say to them: “Don’t you have a mother? Don’t you have a wife? Don’t you have a sister? Don’t you have a daughter? How can you treat women this way?”
