Violence is promoted

Our human tendencies to violence are encouraged by our entertainment industry. Peruse the movie listings at your local theater or Redbox: How many feature an image of someone with a gun?

I play a Scrabble-like computer game Words with Friends, and after each round, an ad pops up for a video game of shooting to kill an attacker or a monster. Zombies used to only show up around Halloween, but now they’ve become a year-round cottage industry.

We promote violence and make powerful weapons easily accessible. We are shocked at what comes of that.
