Debate was civil

District 2 City Council candidate debates between incumbent Breean Beggs and challenger Andy Dunau have a welcome measure of civility. Each speaks without fear that the other will interrupt and each supports the other in areas of agreement. There is no finger pointing, no loud voice attacking the character of the other; both seeking solutions for street repair, oil and coal transport through the city, crime, homelessness, support for police and fire professionals, sidewalk repair, but with different processes to accomplish them.

Two good men with different paths. If we could only enjoy this civility in the national political scene our country would be better served.
