Bailout for students?

It was interesting to read in the Sept. 16 Spokesman-Review the quote from Lisa Brown that since we had bailouts for the banks, maybe we should bail out the students. That just shows more of Lisa’s socialistic tendencies. More free stuff so she can pander to the students’ vote.

How about the students pursuing a career that is in high demand rather than racking up mounds of debt to pursue a gender study degree? Much of the runaway college tuition costs are fueled by very generous pay packages to the faculty. Universities don’t seem to rein in their costs knowing that students will continue to take on more debt through generous government loans.
