Enough with the smoke

I simply had it. For years now, we have had major forest fires every summer. They are such an agony for us all. Not just the property losses of the fires themselves, but the smoke generated causes breathing problems for us all.

Last year my European family came to visit. It was horrible, the sky was filled with smoke, no real sightseeing possible, no fun, very disappointing.

This year has been particular bad, the summer never came, again, smoked filled the sky, glowing red sunrises, glowing red sunsets. It is not normal, it is bad and it persisted for months.

Did anybody else notice, besides me? Did your tomatoes turn ripe as normal? My tomatoes did not; it is only now in the month of September they are turning red, the last few weeks of sunlight have done wonders.

We need our summer sun back. Vote yes on I-1631, a carbon fee will be applied to carbon polluters. The funds generated are allocated to fund sustainable energy projects by 70 percent, forest management and clean water by 25 percent and investments in local communities by 5 percent.

Thank you for your time reading this letter.
