I was authorized to enter the property in question, having asked the road supervisor at Lakes Highway District if I was within legal rights to go anywhere I wished on property owned by the Highway district, even if someone had erected a fence and posted it with no trespassing signs. The small impound yard is located right in the center of an un-built highway district right of way dedicated to the Lakes Highway District by deed a few years ago. This has been confirmed by examination of the map Book J page 26 in the recorders office, showing the plat of the “Little Tree” subdivision. When I went to the yard, I took a copy of the map from the assessors office, showing that the Lakes Highway property continued past the apparent end of the road (where the “bullpen” is located) and continues another thousand feet into the field beyond the small fenced yard/ Larry Spencer .
