ST: Explosive Devices Found @ CHS

10:43 a.m. At 10 a.m. this morning, we received a call from CHS that they are in lockdown. Apparently, three crude explosive devices were found near the football field. Some were detonated overnight with no resulting damage or injuries.  Police are on the scene and a sweep of the building is being conducted/ Sgt. Christie Wood , Coeur d’Alene Police Department.

  • 11:40 a.m. Rathdrum Drug reports that several other pills were missing after a customer picked up his prescription drugs.
  • 11:37 a.m. Dalton Gardens female reports she’s getting bogus calls for money from people who identify themselves as distant relatives.
  • 11:35 a.m. A scruffy male in gang-type clothes is going door to door in Meadow Brook Circle & Coeur d’Alene/Rathdrum, offering to clean spots on driveway for money.
  • 11:27 a.m. Resident in 1800 block of Poleline/Post Falls reports getting a call from Nevada from someone who offered $7 million for installment payments of $365.
  • 11:12 a.m. Coeur d’Alene High lifts lockdown.
  • 11:02 a.m. Coeur d’Alene police have cleared the CHS gym and parking lot of Coeur d’Alene Bible Church, across the street, in searching for more explosive devices. (See above)
  • 10:22 a.m. A long-haired Lab is roaming parking lot of Super 1/Hayden.
  • 10:05 a.m. Illegal dumping is reported in 2800 block of Julia Street/CdA.
  • 9:35 a.m. Ernest, in KCSD lobby, complains that neighbor on Pinto/Hayden has too many dogs.
  • 9:33 a.m. 2 males are yelling at a dog in 1600 block of Front/CdA. One of the males appears to be injured.
  • 9:03 a.m. Motorist, on Rawhide Ridge & Colt/Post Falls, reports that a jaywalking pedestrian pulled a knife on him when he yelled at the guy to use the crosswalk.
  • 8:51 a.m. A 20YO male in a 1988 Dodge pickup left the scene after hitting the menu board at McDonalds/Rathdrum. Mickey D’s worker got his Kootenai County license plate number. It returns on an individual whose license has been suspended.
  • 8:33 a.m. Caller reports that a male who just left a DeSmet residence n/b on H95 is driving w/expired tabs and w/o a license.
  • 8:32 a.m. Caller reports that construction workers are parking their vehicles next to a no-parking sign on Valhalla/Coeur d’Alene Place.
