It's possible to have pro-bike "Share the road" license plates on your car and still flip off a couple of outrageously in-the-wrong bike riders giving you the stink eye.

I think that's something most automobilists don't get. We bike riders fully recognize that our image is tarred by the actions of some in our ranks.

Fortunately for cyclist-haters behind the wheel of their big rigs, all motorists -- on the other hand -- are safe and responsible.
