The Slice

Having to request the senior discount

So we went to an early movie at a theater that offers a senior discount to those 55 and older.

My wife and I are the same age and we have qualified for several years now, which has prompted a few sighs.

We're not in denial about getting older, but don't feel all that "senior" either.

Still, a savings is a savings.

But when I was purchasing our tickets, the very young cashier made no mention of the senior discount. So I brought it up and she gave us a couple of dollars off.

Clearly that young lady had us pegged as obvious 54-year-olds.
