“In September of 1978, as I was leaving for my freshman year at WSU, my father presented this bottle opener to me. He said, ‘This got me through the war, it should do fine for you in Pullman.’

“He went to war in 1942 so this bottle opener has been in service for almost 75 years. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”
