Checking what they said in the GOP presidential debate

The Republican presidential candidate forums — let’s face it, they aren’t “debates” by any stretch of the imagination — produced entertaining television.

Ten candidates in the main event and seven in the leadup forum meant there were plenty of claims to check. Here’s what some national fact checkers said this morning.
