FROM PULLMAN — Today marks another day off for Washington State’s football team before returning to the practice field on Tuesday. Thus, it is a slow day for links. But keep reading, regardless.

The WSU baseball team managed to salvage one win out of its series against Utah, as Scott Simon pitched a five-hit shutout to lead the Cougars past the Utes, 5-0. WSU improves to 17-13 and 4-5 in Pac-12 play. The Cougars play at BYU today. … Brian Floyd wrote a bit about WSU’s practice on Saturday.
