The Sun Devils improved to 2-0 and are now 13-2. … Oregon and Oregon State met yesterday afternoon to open their Pac-12 season, and the Ducks emerged with a 79-66 win. … Arizona is expecting to face some hostile fans in Oregon this weekend with its unbeaten streak on the line . The Wildcats need  to improve their 3-point defense. … Utah found some confidence in the desert despite not winning there. …

In Pac-12 football news … Several reports Sunday indicated that Oregon coach Chip Kelly will, somewhat surprisingly , remain Oregon coach Chip Kelly.
