Where WSU stands in the stats

FROM PULLMAN — With three games under its belt, I thought it’d be a good time to look at where Washington State stands in the national stats rankings. As expected, the Cougars are faring quite well defensively.

So WSU ranks in the nation’s top 25 in four key defensive categories — pass defense (1st), pass efficiency defense (4th), total defense (11th) and scoring defense (23rd). They also rank 17th in passing offense, but just 86th in passing efficiency.
