The Slice: Go ahead and share your prediction

OK, I’ll go first.

GU 74, South Carolina 61.

Your turn.

Spokane road report: Dave Spilker shared this.

Q: What is the difference between Freya Street and the surface of the moon?

A: There are no pedestrian crossings on the surface of the moon.

Today’s trip to Neverland: “I have never eaten a peanut butter and jelly sandwich,” wrote Maggie Fritz. “I love peanut butter. I’ve made jelly. I bake bread. And I came from a big family, but we did not eat PB&J.”

See? Spokane does have diversity.

Brenda Green offered this. “Although I get the ‘Adrian!’ and running up the steps in Philadelphia references, I’ve never seen the movie ‘Rocky’ in its entirety. No reason in particular although I was only 2 when it first came out. As a matter of fact, I’ve never seen ANY of the ‘Rocky’ movies. Why start now?”

Well, maybe so when some good-hearted lug in a sleeveless T-shirt says “Yo, Brenda,” you’ll understand.

Interspecies cooperation: “Today I realized I have taught my dogs the five-second rule,” wrote Kathy Hickman. “Dropped something on the kitchen floor. They looked up at me asked (with their eyes) ‘You going to get that or want us to?’ ”

You be the expert: Pat Cadagan doubts that many TV viewers see commercials for prescription drugs and then suggest to their doctors that they be put on the advertised medication.

Maybe. I would not imagine many physicians appreciate such suggestions. But then again, when has that ever stopped any but the shyest patients?

Feedback on Tuesday’s Slice: “Tell me you didn’t really say that girls and commies might not put cards in their bike spokes,” wrote Sandy Tarbox. “Maybe not baseball cards, but my bike often had a card of some sort clipped to it with a clothespin. I expect a retraction. :-)”

Slice answer: “The most common front door color by far is white,” wrote local real estate professional Marianne Bornhoft. “However, shades of brown seem to also be prevalent in Spokane.”

She looked at a sampling of the median priced houses ($185,000 to $205,000) in the Spokane Association of Realtors listings.

“Red seems to be a trendy color if they want to paint it other than white.”

Today’s Slice question: To what extent do your refrigerator magnets tell the story of your family’s life?
