WA apples collateral damage

A local news story: Mexico is prepared to slap a significant tariff on Washington apples, and Mexico is the major market for Washington’s apples.

I expect that Washington the state can expect no support from Washington the national capital. After all, both of our senators are Democrats, as is our governor and (though just barely) our state legislature. For that matter, our attorney general had the gall to successfully sue Trump twice. We’re probably about as popular with this administration as California and New York. It is also obvious that the No. 1 concern for Donald Trump is Donald Trump.
