Special Edition: North

The bands jokingly referred to this as the Norts tour, as the Tucson acts blur the line that separates them in their live sets. Actually, the difference is clear as Visine. North is guitar-heavy postrock while notes has more synth- and laptop-based ambience. To further confuse things, North plays as notes' backing band on tour. We combined both bands for the interview. If you've listened to one you've heard the other, so scan ahead to live sets. North's set was oozing with intensity from the impenetrable wall of guitars. They've got a new EP, "Siberia," that is both overwhelming and contemplative.
