Pullman’s mayor, Francis Benjamin, will open the Vintage Quilt Show, speaking on his mother’s remarkable enthusiasm for quilting. Garnet Benjamin did not start quilting until she was 50; but in the following 35 years, she completed over 220 quilts and over 380 quilted wall hangings and minis. A number of her works will be part of this year’s quilt show.
