50th Annual Cheney Rodeo
July 7-9. Friday: Gates open at 5:30 p.m. for food, vendors and face painting. Rodeo at 7:20 p.m., with bull riding. Wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness. Dance will following the rodeo from 9:30 p.m.-1:30 a.m. Saturday: parade starts at 11:30 a.m. in downtown Cheney. Bi-Mart Arena gates open at 5:20 p.m. Rodeo starts at 7:20 p.m., with bull riding. Dance following rodeo from 9:30 p.m.-1:30 a.m. Sunday: Bi-Mart Arena Gates open at noon for “Family Day” rodeo at 2 p.m., with youth open steer riding. Beer garden open at all three performances, and during the dances. Tickets available at Bi-Mart and Feed and Tack in Cheney; Yokes in Airway Heights; Copy Junction in Cheney and Airway Heights; North 40 Outfitters in Spokane Valley.
