Traditional Flag Day
American Legion post 241, named Vernon J. Baker post after a local Medal of Honor recipient, will sponsor the event. The Boy Scouts from troop number 71,will honor us with a flag retirement ceremony. They will cremate the flags they can and use the prescribed method with the flags that can not be cremated. The whole program will be capped off with a group of men called The Grandpas Sound from Project Joy with some patriotic songs. Holman Gardens is a senior residence and looks quite colorful with a flag hanging from each apartment, above a beautiful campus.
