Reading and Signing: Meagan Macvie and Mary Clearman Blew
A dual-reading and conversation. Blew, an award-winning author, was Macvie’s mentor at the University of Idaho. Macvie’s debut young adult novel, “The Ocean in My Ears,” explores the life of a teenager in rural Alaska and her yearning to experience more. Blew’s recent book, “This is Not the Ivy League: a Memoir” is a personal account of Blew’s desire to break of out the conventional expectations of life on a remote cattle ranch in Montana and to explore the expanding possibilities of womanhood.
