Year of the Sainted Brewers: Oo-de-lally

We brewed up a batch of single-malt Scotch ale using Scots Bere Barley grown by Palouse Heritage and malted by Palouse Pint. For special additions, we foraged wild pine pitch, spruce boughs and birch twigs. After fermentation it was aged in a Dry Fly Distilling whiskey barrel for eight months. The finished beer is an 8% ABV springtime morning walk in the forest.
