Dr. Maira del Carmen Salazar will address the experiences of marginalized youth and their families from the perspective of a rose that grew in the beauty and the harshness of the concrete. The speaker will provide concrete strategies for educators to engage in a humanizing pedagogy to grow roses in the concrete.
