Edward B. Lindaman Chair Lecture: “Bonfire of the Humanities: The Moorings of an Academy Adrift.”

Whitworth Associate Professor of History and Lindaman Chair Anthony Clark, Ph.D., will present “Bonfire of the Humanities: The Moorings of an Academy Adrift” in Weyerhaeuser Hall’s Robinson Teaching Theatre. In his final public lecture as the Edward B. Lindaman Endowed Chair, Clark will speak about the state of the humanities within U.S. institutions and how Whitworth University aspires to preserve liberal arts education. This timely talk will consider both why and how the humanities might be valued and restored in the modern academy.
