Arts and Letters: Relief Printmaking
October 19, 2019 - October 19, 2019
Students will be introduced to the traditional process of relief printmaking by way of transferring a previously designed concept onto a block, carving the design, and printing and reproducing it onto paper. In this particular workshop, students will work on mounted linoleum, using two different approaches to transfer their design to the block, carbon paper or citrus strip. The transferred design will be carved, inked, and printed 5 times. The resulting print can be incorporated into a letterpress broadside. All materials will be provided. Register at spark-central.org/events.
