Idaho Democrats to caucus Saturday

Idaho Democrats will caucus on Saturday morning to select their presidential delegates, and they’re inviting folks to join them at the gatherings in each Idaho county. In Kootenai County, the caucus will be at the Harding Family Center, 411 N. 15th St. in Coeur d’Alene, and similar events across the state will start at 10 a.m. – meaning the doors will close then, so those who want to participate should arrive before that hour.

Idaho Senate Assistant Majority Leader Chuck Winder, opened the hearing on his pre-abortion ultrasound bill in committee this morning, telling the Senate State Affairs Committee, “As you know there’s been a lot of email communication, there’s been protests on the Capitol steps, people exercising their right under the 1st Amendment, and I appreciate that. … I expect some interesting testimony. I would ask you all to keep your minds open to what you hear and to be attentive to what’s happening.”

BOISE – Idaho congressman Raul Labrador issued a call for bipartisanship Tuesday, saying the politics in Washington, D.C., are too tainted by partisan rifts. Labrador told the Idaho House and Senate that since he has been in Washington, D.C., “My appreciation for the Idaho Legislature has only grown more.”
