On Jan. 20, 1961 — 65 years ago Tuesday — John F. Kennedy was inaugurated as the 35th president of the United States. His inaugural address is regarded as one of the best inaugural speeches of all time and an example of how well Kennedy could articulate his thoughts, goals and wishes to the American people.
