The airworthy two-seater, made in 1944, was delivered to British Royal Air Force and subsequently sold in 1948 to the South Africa Air Force. Its operational history remains unknown, but in the 1970's was discovered in a Cape Town scrap yard and it went through a long process of restoration. The plane is expected to fetch some 1.5 - 2 million pounds, (1,65 - 2,2 million euros, 2,2-2,9 million US dollars).
