Buder Haven and The Marilee
On Thursday, Catholic Charities of Spokane and Volunteers of America celebrated the opening of Buder Haven and The Marilee, two permanent supportive housing projects for homeless people who struggle with mental illness, substance abuse or other challenges.

The two new, brightly-colored apartment buildings built by Catholic Charities and Volunteers of America with help from Spokane City and County are called Buder Haven and The Marilee, shown during the grand opening Thursday, July 28, 2016. The two buildings, on the 200 block of E. 2nd Ave., have 100 one-bedroom and studio units specifically to house the chronically homeless.
