Built in 1896, the Gordon Home, in back of Marycliff Main, was donated to the Spokane Catholic Diocese to be used by the High School. This dining hall seen in this 1952 photo, was being used as a history class. The room came with hidden wall compartments and trick locks.

Students from Marycliff high School formed a line to pass books from their old library to the new $220,000 library-classroom building. Some 5,000 books were moved during the operation. The students started using the new facility in April of 1962.
