Local activist Alfredo LLamedo
For the past year, activist Alfredo LLamedo has lived two lives. Online and at protests, where he’s been a fixture for the better part of a decade, he’s his usual, fervent, boisterous self – if only a bit muted. Still plenty loud, though, with a smidgen of yelling and swearing. Most always at those in power, and especially if your name is David Condon or Donald Trump.

Julie Garcia of Jewels Helping Hands hugs local activist Alfredo LLamedo after he expressed his messages one last time in a public gathering outside of Spokane City Hall's Chase Gallery on Tuesday, July 22, 2019. Llamedo spoke amongst signage supporting Camp Hope, a protest to the city's sit-and-lie ordinance which occurred in the same location. Llamedo is suffering from liver cirrohsis and will soon pass away, sped up by his voluntary refusal of food, water and now alcohol, which began July 1.
