Avista's Upriver Park project delayed

Avista is delaying its Upriver Park project into 2021. The plans are to close a section of Upriver Drive, from Mission Avenue to North Center Street, and turn it into a neighborhood park wth improved recreational access to the river.

The proposal by Avista to close a section of Upriver Drive and turn the treed Spokane River waterfront by the Avista campus into a public park is on hold until 2021. The proposed park would enhance the Centennial Trail through the area and give the public more waterfront access.
