Red Mountain Resort is one of the oldest and most famous ski resorts in Canada. It was the site of the first World Cup race in the nation and the location of the Canadian Downhill Championships. Red offers two peaks, 1,596 acres of skiable terrain, and 2,900 vertical feet of drop and an additional 4,000 acres just outside the resort boundary. The longest run at Red Mountain is 4 miles long, and the runs are divided 15% beginner, 40% intermediate, 22% advanced, 23% expert. There are six lifts, with two surface lifts, one double lift, two triple lifts, and one quadruple lift. It is located approximately three hours from Spokane.
