In this final stop you will tour the inside of the powerhouse containing the first vertical-type turbine of The Washington Water Power Company, installed in 1921. In addition to touring the turbine room deeper in the powerhouse, this stop will focus on how the river corridor has been dramatically recovered from its heavy industrial past, and how management of the hydroelectric power stations on the Spokane River is integral to that effort.
