Summary

A strong performance from Ciera Lockwood both pitching and hitting helped lift East Valley to a 13-3 victory over West Valley in five innings for the first game of their doubleheader. Lockwood went 2-2 from the plate with three RBIs, including a two-run home run in the third. She also pitched a complete game, striking out five while giving up only four hits. East Valley also benefitted from strong hitting from Katy Sinn, who went 3-4 with three RBIs, and Rachel Loe, who went a perfect 3-3.
