Summary

Hannah Hustad struck out 13 batters and hit a home run to lead Northwest Christian past host Rogers 6-2 in a nonleague softball game on Friday. Hustad hit a two-run home run during the Crusaders three-run third inning. Kalena Quilt, the Pirates pitcher, helped her own cause when she pulled two runs back in the bottom of the third with a two-RBI single. From there Hustad settled down and cruised to the win. Quilt took the loss, leveling her record at 1-1.
