Summary

Freshman Brady Chadwick got the big hit and senior-led Colton finished a Southeast 1B doubleheader sweep of host Rosalia with a 7-5 win on Saturday. Chadwick, the Wildcats shortstop, got the go-ahead single in the fifth after the Spartans had taken the lead with a 4-run fourth. Other than the shaky fourth, Colton's Dalton Patchen threw 6 solid innings, striking out 10 and allowing 2 hits and 1 walk. Seniors Jake Straughan, Patchen and Jordan Druffel all had doubles for the Wildcats. Druffel worked the seventh to pick up the save and finish win No. 4 on the season for Patchen.
