Summary

Shadle Park rallied past visiting Southridge 4-3 to keep their season alive Tuesday in the 3A subregionals. The visiting Suns led 3-0 after three innings, but Evan Douglas brought the Highlanders back with a solo homer in the sixth and then a two-run double in the seventh. The game remained scoreless until the 12th, thanks to some strong relief work from Matt Keenan and Dylan Greenwald. In the 12th, Brett Rypien coaxed a bases-loaded walk to give Shadle the win. The Highlanders will now play another loser-out game on Saturday against an opponent to be determined.
