Alicia Maul and Reilly Bramlett, batting eighth and ninth in the order, were a combined 8 for 10 with four runs and four RBIs as Richland (20-2) rolled past Central Valley 18-1 in the 4A regional championship game at University High. Kayla Andrews, Abby Perryman and Kelsea Hinkley added three RBIs apiece for the Bombers, who qualified for the State 4A tournament with the victory. Richland sent 14 runners to the plate during a 10-run seventh that included eight singles. Eighteen of the Bombers' 19 hits were singles. Andrews scattered seven hits, struck out nine and walked one. Starter Carli Riordan of the Bears (18-4) struck out five but exited in the fourth inning when she had difficulty breathing because of a cold. The Bears scored in the first as Andrews hit leadoff batter Natalie Ford with a pitch and McKynzie Adams brought her in from second base with a well-placed bunt that eluded shortstop Stephanie Merwin.
