Medical Lake came up a run shy during a seventh-inning rally as Zillah held on to win 6-5 and eliminate the Cardinals from the State 1A tournament in Richland. Glory Cheevers, Kayla Pruitt and Taylor Pavao each drove in a run for Medical Lake. Jordyn Soliday struck out 11 batters.
