Summary

Kassy Skeen had two hits, including a key double to lead Bonners Ferry to a 13-4 victory over Priest River in the opening round of the 3A Intermountain League district tournament at Timberlake on Monday night.

The Badgers move on to face Timberlake in a winner-to-state matchup, while Priest River plays Kellogg in a loser-out game. Both are Tuesday at Timberlake.

Leading 5-4 after four innings, Skeen's two-run double down the left field line sparked a five-run fifth inning to help Bonners Ferry pull away.

Vivian Reynolds hit a two-run single in the second inning for Priest River.
