Keann White had 11 kills and four blocks, and fellow senior Jade Rockwood added 38 assists and two aces as Central Valley (28-7) defeated Tahoma 3-1 Saturday in the State 4A volleyball match for seventh and eighth places. The seventh-place finish represents the Bears' best, one spot better than last season. After dropping the first game, CV cruised to a second-game win. Tahoma broke ahead 7-2 in the third game before the Bears unleashed a 15-3 run. Tahoma served for the fourth game at 24-22, but the Bears again rallied for first-year coach Laurie Quigley.
